St Helens CAMRA
St Helens CAMRA is a local branch of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). Tony Biggs, the Chairman of St Helens CAMRA required a full mondernisation of the branch’s existing site and wanted the site to be user-friendly and interactive. The site has been built with this in mind and offer facilities including allowing registered members to review local pubs selling real ale. This has proved very popular and has sparked lively debate on the site. The website also includes a forum and an interactive map of the local pubs selling real ale. Please check out the site from the link below.
Bully Anti-Bully
Bully Anti-Bully is a philosophical novel written by St Helens-based author, David Knowles. David wanted a website to accompany his book whilst on promotional tours of universities. The website has been design to reflect the colours used on the cover of the book and also to use the images and logos on the book cover. The website includes excerpts from the novel and poses some interesting philosophical questions about morality in the modern age. Please visit the website from the link below to find out more about David’s work.
St Helens Beer Festival
As Merseyside Web Design had developed the website for St Helens Camra (CAMRA), the chairman also wanted a separate website to promote the annual beer festival which is held in St Helens. The St Helens Beer Festival is always a very popular event and the chariman felt that the old, one page website needed updating and improving. Happy with the job that Merseyside Web Design had done for the CAMRA website, another site was commissioned which is a simple information site explaining about the event, with an interactive map for directions and also a link to buy tickets online. After the event, photos were added to the website in the form of a gallery. The site will be redeveloped for the upcoming beer festival this autumn.
