The Griffin Inn, St Helens
Merseyside Web Design built the first website for the Griffin Inn way back in 2002. Since then, we have redesigned the website to it’s current look. The Griffin Inn website attracts a large number of visitors, through it’s excellent Google ranking (see below with a search for pubs in St Helens) as well as an effective listing on Google’s Local Business Listing, which is a free service available to all local businesses. The site has paid for itself many times over and is the most common source of bookings for the Griffin’s hotel. The restaurant menu is also updated on a weekly basis by the chefs themselves. St Helens CAMRA
St Helens CAMRA is a local branch of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). Tony Biggs, the Chairman of St Helens CAMRA required a full mondernisation of the branch’s existing site and wanted the site to be user-friendly and interactive. The site has been built with this in mind and offer facilities including allowing registered members to review local pubs selling real ale. This has proved very popular and has sparked lively debate on the site. The website also includes a forum and an interactive map of the local pubs selling real ale. Steve Taplin Racing
Steve Taplin Racing is a horse racing syndicate which allows people to buy shared ownership in racehorses. Steve Taplin is also the successful author of an annual book about Two Year Old racehorses. Steve has been working with Merseyside Web Design for many years now and we have recently redesigned his website using WordPress, making it easy for Steve to update the site himself with any news events or trips out to see the horses. The site also has an extensive photo gallery of previous winners. If you look closely, you can even see Frankie Dettori riding one of the syndicates horses.
Bully Anti-Bully
Bully Anti-Bully is a philosophical novel written by St Helens-based author, David Knowles. David wanted a website to accompany his book whilst on promotional tours of universities. The website has been design to reflect the colours used on the cover of the book and also to use the images and logos on the book cover. The website includes excerpts from the novel and poses some interesting philosophical questions about morality in the modern age. Brownlows Ecommerce Site
Merseyside Web Design have been working with Brownlows Bottled Gas for some time. They have recently asked for a new ecommerce site which will feature their work wear as well as their existing bottled gas business. PJ’s Jewellers are a small jewellery business based in Warrington, Cheshire. Having developed PJ’s website several years ago, the owners have recently asked Merseyside Web Design to build an ecommerce site which will be integrated into the existing site. Watch this space for developments.
Thornton Parish Council, Sefton
Thornton Parish Council approached Merseyside Web Design from recommendation from another customer, Olympic Bowling Club. The website is an information website detailing events and news for the Thornton area. The Council asked for the website to be easily updated by themselves and to provide an interactive experience for the user, featuring event listings, photo galleries etc.
Amazon Kitchens
Amazon Kitchens are a kitchen installation company based in Haydock, Merseyside. Amazon supply Magnet Trade kitchens and fit them to a high standard. Amazon asked Merseyside Web Design to develop a site which allows the customer to view all the different kitchens, tops, appliances etc. available from Magnet Trade. Injuries Management is a firm of solicitors, based in Liverpool. The firm approached Merseyside Web Design with the aim of building an attractive site that also featured plenty of content. The website has several online forms and a feature, front page slideshow. Merseyside Web Design also developed the logo for Injuries Management.
Collins & Collins Consulting Ltd
Collins & Collins Consulting Ltd is a leading Health and Safety Consultancy firm, based in Knowsley, Liverpool. The company approached Merseyside Web Design, having been recommended by a previous company. Also, Merseyside Web Design have been working developing a website for it’s sister company, CB Refrigeration Ltd. The Collins & Collins website features listings of up and coming courses and also testimonials and a blog detailing development and news in Health and Safety.
You Can Buy In Florida
You Can Buy In Florida is a website for a company which offers ‘fractional ownership’ of luxury properties in Florida, USA. The company differs from a timeshare arrangement by the fact that the investors actually own a percentage of the property and are free to buy and sell this share whenever they feel. The website itself shows the property in Florida and also includes a comprehensive form which allows potential customers to send details to the company explaining their requirements for any other properties in the Florida area.
PJ’s Jewellers
PJ’s Jewellers is a jewellery business based in Warrington, Cheshire. PJ’s asked Merseyside Web Design to create an attractive website to compliment their business. The site is a content management website and includes information on all the products available in store. It also includes some interesting menu features, including a vertical accordian effect and an eye-catching image slider. English Premier Soccer Tours are a business based in Sale Manchester. The company offer football tours for junior football teams from overseas. Merseyside Web Design were recommended to English Premier Soccer Tours from a previous client and were asked to build a website that would be easy to update and to add information about upcoming tours and also to be able to blog about existing tours. The company were also interested in developing their marketing strategy to encourage teams to come on tour in England. Merseyside Web Design helped by developing an effective Google Adwords campaign, aimed at the overseas market, whilst keeping the CPC (cost per click) as low as possible.
